Marvel Studios’  “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” was released on November 11, 2022. The story focuses on the people of Wakanda fighting to protect the kingdom following King T’Challa’s death. The major threat appears to be from King Namor, coming from the hidden underwater kingdom of Talokan. As the movie continues, Princess Shuri attempts to find ways through all the problems that arise. She has growing character development that impacts her decisions with the Talokanils and the life-or-death of many. Find out about the actions made by tuning in to the movie.

Personally, this movie caught my attention as my brothers watched this. The kingdoms were brought to life and the character designs were awesome! As someone who is not caught up with the latest releases, I enjoyed “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

The time for the Oscars has come around and five nominations are coming from this title:

  1. Angela Bassett for Best Supporting Actress

Bassett is a notable figure since the late 1980s. Seen in Waiting to Exhale, The Rosa Parks Story, and Time Bomb. In this movie, she is known as Queen Ramonda. A true queen as many would say, she is a strong figure.

2. Ruth E. Carter for Best Costume Design

Hard work is put into the costume designs as mentioned by Carter.

3. Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson for Best Original Song, “Lift Me Up”

A beautiful song that will be performed at the Oscars.

4. Geoffrey Baumann, Craig Hammack, Christopher White, and Dan Sudick for Best Visual Effects

5. Camille Friend and Joel Harlow for Best Makeup and Hairstyling

Watch the Oscars this Sunday to find out the results!
