    Were the characters in Sound of Freedom Real?

    When you watch the movie, you wonder if these people were real people.  

    Tim Ballard is an anti-sex trafficking activist. He has been an activist for 12 years now and the movie Sound of Freedom is based on his life and story and how he rescues trafficked children. Tim Ballard is also the founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad a non-profit organization and it’s about a rescuing company. Besides his job he is a big family guy he loves his family his family his family even supported him in raising two kids he rescued he says he will do anything to help rescue trafficked kids. He has since June 18, 2023, 123 trafficking victims in Colombia. Tim Ballard has helped a lot of children for 12 years now and he hopes to keep going with this he says he will do everything and anything to help these children.

    Tim Ballard ethnicity and family In the movie, there is also a character that goes by “Vampiro” but is also known as “Batman” In the movie it shows a lot of his story that is almost all true but there is one scene they did say was not true in real life. He also led another mission in Medellín, Colombia he also rescued trafficked children. “Vampiro” or “Batman uses the name to keep his name sacred and to keep his identity to himself. “Vampiro” has been through a lot in his life and after all that he wanted to change and now he helps rescue trafficked children.

    In the film, “Giselle” a Colombian beauty queen is the lurer of the kidnapped kids.  In real life, her name is Kelly Johana Suarez.  You can find out more about here here.

    Howdy My name is Talia Diaz I am 17 years old and this is my first year as a journalist. I am excited but nervous to be a first-timer in journalism but more excited. I am the youngest in my family All my siblings came to Santa Maria High School. Some of my interests are music. I love listening to all genres of music but some of my favorite artists and groups are Harry Styles, The Weeknd, and Pitbull. Some of my favorite groups are Queen, The Beatles, and The Garden. My Hobbies are going thrifting with Mom and going to vinyl stores and I also like to garden in my free time. I have lots of plants, mostly succulents. I also like to watch movies and shows. Some of my favorite movies are Shrek, Coraline, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Some of my favorite shows are The Last Of Us and New Girl. I hope this year I graduate on stage and go to Allan Hancock College and major in Photography or Journalism.
