11/3/23-During Mrs. Van D’s journalism class, students noticed kids walking somewhere. Although there’s little information about this, we can suppose they were going on a field trip.

Hello, my name is Nathan Gomez, and I am a senior this year. I am 17, and this is my first-time doing Journalism. I am excited and hopeful that my last year here at SMHS will be the best!
Some things you should know about me is that I like to watch movies. My all-time favorite movie is Avengers: Age of Ultron. I can paint, although I mainly do landscapes; I am learning to do human portraits. I also love to read comic books. Some smaller facts about me: I never had a pet, I can roller skate, my favorite color is gold, I like to collect Funko Pops, I learned how to sculpt two years ago, I like the Dragon fruit drink from Starbucks, I listen to all music genres, I have a watch collection, and my favorite animal is a horse.
I am looking forward to working with the Breeze staff, and as my role of contributor, I aim to help my colleagues in accomplishing this year's goals. We at Breeze strive to inform our fellow classmates and staff about current issues, changes, or just some interesting news that is happening around school.
My name is Tina van den Heever, and I am the adviser for journalism here at SMHS.
The 2023/24 school year is my 13th year at SMHS, and I this is my third immersed year in Journalism. My class will be working on getting our website fleshed out and current, along with incorporating multi-media technology. WATCH THIS SPACE!
On a personal note: I'm the mother of two children, Christian, who is 30 and lives in Denver, and Adria, who is 24 and lives in Long Beach. I also have a 19 year-old stepson Shaun, who is living in Arkansas. I'm married and live in Santa Maria. I currently teach English 10 Honors, ERWC 12, and journalism.
In my spare time (LOL) I enjoy home improvement projects, reading, hiking, traveling, and sleeping. :) We have a sweet dog, Abbie, at home who demands that we walk her and take her to the dog beach so she can live her best life. We also have a cat, Lola, who's 18 and beast mode.
Next up for me: Japan for Spring Break, 2024! Wanna go too? Ask me about it! I'm in room 121.
