If you have never heard of Chicano Batman their music is very uplifting, calming, and mellow. The band has 3 members Bardo Martinez the vocalist and lyricist, Eduardo Arenas the Bass player, and Carlos Arevalo the guitarist. The first song is Live Today It has an inspiring uplifting feel to it when you listen to it. Chicano Batman Stated that Carlos Arevalo wanted to just “jam” and vibe when they were making Live Today and they said they had lots of fun making Live Today the song overall is really good and I would say a lot of people would say the same thing because it has an uplifting feel to the song and I listen to this song with a smile in my face and thinking about summer when I hear this song. I would rate this song an 8/10

Notebook Fantasy: This is another one of their mellow but elevating songs I would recommend this song to someone who has never heard of Chicano Batman. This song makes you want to get up and dance and I would say this to almost all the songs only because some of them are sad an dlower in tone. Overall, this song is a 9.5/10

Parallels: This is another one of their slower songs, but this song is really good this song has Bardo and Eduardo singing Overall even though this is one of their sadder songs I would give this song a 9/10

Beautiful Daughter: This is another slow but upbeat song I’m saying that it’s upbeat because of the instruments in the background but it’s sad because the lyrics and meaning of the song does give a sad feel to the song when you’re listening to it but overall, I would give this song a 7.5/10 but this is still a really good song.

Era Primavera Bardo says that this song feels like when you were younger if you grew up in a Hispanic culture you most definitely hear what your parents are listening to, and this song “Era Primavera” has a vibe like that. Its a slower song and this song also has a music video, and it was directed by Bardo. I would rate this song an 8.5/10 only because it’s one of their slower songs and I like more of their upbeat songs.

FLY is different from what they usually do but the difference is good because this is one of my favorites. The tone of the song is upbeat, and this song has a music video Carlos the guitarist wanted an 80s theme to Fly and Bardo was inspired by David Bowie and how he painted a picture in his work and Bardo was very inspired by David Bowie. They even went on Jimmy Kimmel to perform their new song FLY I would rate this song a 10/10.

Lei La: This is my favorite song in the album this song is all in Spanish and Bardo wanted a Colombian feel to this song and that’s what they gave to this song overall, I would give this song a 10/10

Tears away: This song is slower and more emotional but like they said wipe those tears away the lyrics and beat are a bit sadder and lower of a tone and overall, I would give this song an 8/10

The way you say it: This song is upbeat because of the instruments I think something just like the instruments can have a big change in the song and this is one of the songs that the instruments help the song be more upbeat this song is really good I would give this song a 7.5/10

Hojas Secas: This song is all in Spanish and is sung by the bass player Eduardo this is a slow song and I would give this song a 6.5/10

Losing My Mind: This song is upbeat, and the lyrics are really nice and cute I think this is one of my other favorites the song overall is a 9.5/10

Fairytale Love: This is a slow song but a great song The song is one of their shorter songs but overall, the song is really good The song definitely feels like what the title of the song is I would give this song a 9.5/10

I am the youngest in my family All my siblings came to Santa Maria High School. Some of my interests are music. I love listening to all genres of music but some of my favorite artists and groups are Harry Styles, The Weeknd, and Pitbull. Some of my favorite groups are Queen, The Beatles, and The Garden. My Hobbies are going thrifting with Mom and going to vinyl stores and I also like to garden in my free time. I have lots of plants, mostly succulents. I also like to watch movies and shows. Some of my favorite movies are Shrek, Coraline, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Some of my favorite shows are The Last Of Us and New Girl. I hope this year I graduate on stage and go to Allan Hancock College and major in Photography or Journalism.
