“Spanglish,” an organization Created by USC students, is seeking Tutors
Biliteral Seniors and Juniors looking for volunteering options can apply by May 14, 2023.
Are you looking for volunteer opportunities for this Summer? Look no more, Spanglish is in search of new Student-tutor volunteers! Spanglish is a nonprofit organization founded by students from the University of Southern California, whose mission is to provide free virtual English tutoring for low-income students in Peru. Spanglish tutoring is not only a very rewarding experience but it can also serve as volunteer experience for college applications!
Due to the high demand for tutors, Spanglish is especially looking for Spanish-speaking tutors, so if you are interested (and speak Spanish), apply as soon as possible! Tutoring positions have a low-time commitment of about 3 hours per week for about 12 weeks (*for the Summer session). The weekly hours consist of ~2 hours of teaching + ~1 hour of prepping for lessons. Lessons are already made for you to use so prepping for the lessons is simply going over them before you meet with your student.
Deadline to apply is May 14th.
Summer session begins June 19th.
