Dune: Review by Gabriela Rojas

The movie Dune which is a remake of the 1984 movie was released on October 22nd. It was directed by Denis Villeneuve. Dune is based on the first book in a series of books that were first published in 1965 by Frank Herbert. The movie was over two hours long, but it only covered the first half of the first book.

The setting was great and the actors were also great, though it was hard keeping up with the movie. The sound quality wasn’t very good. It seemed as if the actors were whispering and sometimes it would get too loud. We needed to adjust the volume most of the time.

I thought all of the scenes were great, especially where there were explosions. The scenes were very realistic, which was one of the things that made the movie very good. Other great scenes of the movie were when the sand worms came out.

Overall, the movie was great and the quality is very good except for the sound. I would re-watch the movie and pay much closer attention to it, since it is kind of hard to keep up with what is going on.
