GENERAL
 Come see the Saints Choir and Guitar Orchestra perform on Friday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM in the Ethel Pope Auditorium. You will
get to see solos, duets, and band performances, as well as our award-winning choir and guitar orchestra. Tickets are only $5.00 and can
be purchased from choir or guitar students or directly from Mr. Van Wie in room 113 in the new building. Come cheer for your friends!

 Juniors! Please come to our class meeting today at lunch in Ms. Turner's room, 613, to pick class officers and organize the Sadie’s
Dance. It is essential to attend if you would like to run for office. Get your lunch and hurry to the meeting, which will start at 12:40. You
may eat during the meeting.
 Attention. Have you purchased your yearbook? If not, purchase it at the business office or online at yearbookforever.com by November
22nd for the lowest price of the year!
 After-school tutoring services are available every day from 3:10 – 6:00 pm. Please bring your homework, essays, and study guides, and
let us help you increase your grades! Tutoring pods are located in the MMLC, rooms, 242, 358, 361, and 636. We hope to see you there!
 OTCR students should complete their first course by November 22. Please work daily until complete. All tests must be taken in the
MMLC. See Ms. Olsen in the MMLC.
 Are Visual or Digital Arts, Social Media, Interior Design, Business, or Fashion in your future? If any of these careers interest you, come to
the Career Center, today at 12:30, to meet a College Representative from FIDM. FIDM is an internationally recognized, four-year
accredited college with four campuses in California. FIDM’s 30 creative design and business majors educate students for careers in these
fields; find out which major of study might be right for you. Get more information about the Bachelor’s, MBA’s, and associate degree
programs, scholarships, internships, and career resources.
CLUBS
 The Close-Up Washington DC, Club will meet at lunch on Wednesday in Mrs. Henning’s room. Please attend so we can coordinate our
upcoming fundraisers.
 Attention all FFA Members interested in showing livestock at the 2020 Santa Barbara County Fair. We have a MANDATORY Livestock
meeting Today during lunch in Ethel Pope Auditorium. You MUST attend this meeting if you plan on showing any type of animal at the
fair. We will be discussing fair requirements, important upcoming dates, and passing out budgets. Hope to see you there.
 BStrongLife Club is excited to bring to SMHS a group all the way from New Zealand. The Revolution tour will make you laugh through
music and dance. This all takes place Wednesday, November 20 in the Girls Gym at lunchtime. Everyone is welcome! As usual, we will
have plenty of pizza and prizes!
 FCA-Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting in Coach Silva’s room 352 today at lunch. Bring a friend to hear a good word.
Pizza will be served.
 Green hands and first-year FFA members!!! We are excited to announce our Greenhand Banquet which will be held on November 20 in
the cafeteria at 5 pm. We will also have a variety of activities for the Greenhands Wednesday morning from 7:15 to 8 am outside of the Ag
Department (room 330) This will include dying your hand green and enjoying some delicious hot chocolate and Donuts. Also, before the
meeting, we will have several fun games starting at 4:15 pm. Don’t forget to invite your family and friends to watch you take one of the
first steps in your FFA career!
SPORTS
 Attention all Saints come out to the Wilson gym tonight to see the Saints boys’ varsity basketball team play Coast Union in our season
opener at 6:30 pm. Students get free admission with your school ID.
 Boys and girls interested in swimming, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, December 3rd during lunch in Ms. Vargas's class room 101.
 Boys Golf: There is a meeting on THURSDAY at lunch in room 523 for all boys interested in playing golf next year. Vital information
about off-season lessons will be shared. No experience necessary and freshmen are especially encouraged to attend. All returning
golfers must attend.
 Saints Football: Make your arm tackling attempts a thing of the past. Force the habit of wrapping up every time. Tackling camp begins
this week (every day) in the small gym.
 Attention all FRESHMEN boys interested in trying out for our freshmen boys’ basketball team. The first round of tryouts is Thursday,
November 21st from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Wilson gym. You must have an athletic physical completed and a 2.0 GPA or higher on our
most recent November progress report in order to tryout.
