 Attention 12 th grade students holding a 3.7 GPA or higher: Cal Poly-SLO invites you to attend their “Partners Preview Tour”
on Friday, November 8 th at Cal Poly.  Sign up with Ms. Washington in the College and Career Center.  Pick up an event flyer
by the deadline of Friday, October 18! Spaces fill quickly, please sign up as soon as possible!
 Seniors, the catalog fundraiser ends this Thursday.  Turn in your order form to the business office as soon as you are done!
No late orders will be accepted.
 Santa Maria High Career Fair will be this Thursday, October 10th.  Please plan to attend with your grade level.
 Hello Seniors, College application season is officially here! If you need help with college applications, financial aid and,
scholarships, please come to the MMLC. Lab hours are every Monday from 1-4 pm and Wednesday from 3-5 pm. See you
 Students, afterschool tutoring services are now available every day from 3:10 – 6:00 pm.  Please bring your homework,
essays, and study guides, and let us help you increase your grades!  Tutoring pod locations are in the MMLC with Ms.
Domingues and Bilingual Instructional Assistants, in 242 with Ms. Fierro for Social Science, room 358 for assistance in Math
with Ms. Klein, room 361 for Science help with Ms. Devine, and room 636 with Mr. Aguila for tutoring in English. We hope to
see you there!
 Attention students who have been referred to OTCR for the current school year, please see Ms. Olsen in the MMLC at lunch
or after school.
 Attention students, and staff this week is National Yearbook Week.  To celebrate, our school is offering a chance to
personalize your book with your name on the cover for free!  Buy your book at the business office or online before the end of
the day October 11th to take advantage.  Already bought your book?  See Mrs. van D in room 112 to get yours
personalized.  Icons sold separately.  The business office has a payment plan for you, so act now!
 BStronglife Club is back today in Ethel Pope Auditorium at lunchtime.   We will have plenty of pizza and prizes!  Early birds
to the meeting will be entered to win gift cards like Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Subway! See you all there!
 BSU meets today at lunch in the Career Center.  Bring your lunch and a friend.  We will continue working on our Community
Service Projects.

 This Thursday the Interpreting Club will be meeting in Rm 104.  We will be creating our constitution.  Please come if you are
interested in joining the club.  We have discussed medical interpreting and studying for the written exam.
 The GSA club meets every Wednesday at lunch in Mrs. Greene's room 525. Join us today and bring a friend!
 The first round of girls’ basketball tryouts for all 3 levels will be this Saturday, October 12th from 12 pm-2 pm in the Wilson
gym. If you have any questions, contact Coach Ramos.
 Girls Soccer: Attention, all girls interested in trying out for girls’ soccer this season. Please attend the first meeting today-
Tuesday at 3:00 pm being held at the Stadium.
 Attention all boys interested in trying out for our boys’ basketball teams this upcoming winter season, you must have an
athletic physical completed and a 2.0 GPA or higher by November 2nd to tryout. Any questions see Coach Yamate.
